Used Snorkel Man Lift Oakland

The Advantages of Using a Man Lift
For areas which are too high to reach by any other means, man lifts provide a safe and easy method to fix problems. These are mechanical lifts that enable personnel to safely reach a high work location. Usually, man lifts are used by construction and service workers to carry out work on light poles, buildings and other places which are too up high to reach by other means.

Safety
Taking safety into consideration is the main factor when using a man lift. Ladders are not a practical alternative for extreme heights and thus man lifts are the ideal alternative for these kinds of places. Most of these machines are outfitted with safety rails and emergency shut-off switches to make worker safety a main concern.

Range
Man lifts could reach certain heights which other equipment cannot reach. This machinery was initially utilized to pick fruit, but has evolved to take on other tasks. Like for instance, they are usually used to do finishing work in the construction industry and changing light bulbs. Usually, man lifts could reach heights of about 20 to 100 feet.

There are smaller man lifts which can operate indoors to perform tasks in places such as big office buildings, sports arenas and hotels. They can be powered with electricity. This eliminates the harmful fumes and the hazards associated with them.

Engine-Powered Boom Lifts
If workers have to be transported to their height destination quickly and efficiently, an engine-powered boom lift is the solution. Boom lifts offer a wide range of mobility. These equipment could also be moved in various directions. Boom lifts can easily fit between narrow spaces too. Every "joint" in the boom lift is controlled to adjust to different heights to be able to position the worker exactly where she or he needs to be to be able to get the job done. The engine power system is what allows boom lifts to attain their full elevation in not a lot of time. Firefighters normally use engine powered boom lifts when there are on a rescue mission and need to rapidly ascend to heights.
