Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A type of equipment which can carry loads that are roughly 30,000 lbs is a forklift. A forklift is also called a counterbalance. Despite being large and sturdy, these industrial machines still bear the possible chance of accident or crash. To be able to be safe, be certain to have operators put on the right seat belt in the forklift and make sure that up to standard safety features are also on board. We all know that in the event of an accident, seat belts can save lives.
Three-Point Seat Belt
The kinds of seat belts which could extend both over the lap and across the upper body are the three-point seat belts. These types of belts provide an extra safety degree by protecting your body. They are offered in both bench-seat and buckle-seat styles. The 3-point seat belts are available in either non-retractable or retractable kinds.
Retractable seat belts are usually used in most modern motor vehicles on the market. While non-retractable kinds increase safety, retractable types provide a lot more comfort. It is impossible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
Two-point lap belts are ones that extend over the lower part of the body. The majority of lap belts are non-retractable and feature a push-button closure system. In order to secure the seat belt, just press on the belt button and the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The circuit-closed seat belts are the type which force forklift operators to wear a seat belt. These kinds of seat belts have a micro-switch attached that sounds an alarm if an operator starts a vehicle and is not secured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both non-retractable and retractable lap-band styles.
