The S-boom telescopic booms by Genie have been equipped with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other types of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight places during construction and industrial applications. They are also recognized for their ability to quickly maneuver through a job site with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular model could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were unreachable by standard jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature enables up and over reaching tasks to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system which allows for valuable time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be elevated fully simultaneously. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features reduces the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing productivity and effectiveness.
