Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
You could often find pneumatic forklifts in warehouses and shipping operations. Also called pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are utilized to move products and materials around on wooden pallets using metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump which could raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by one person.
Pallet trucks should be operated carefully in order to avoid loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Equipment must be checked before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Check that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet should be stacked carefully to guarantee that nothing would fall off during transportation.
In order to release air in the pump and lower the forks, squeeze the lever found on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks could then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be at the center to be able to guarantee equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not lift the pallet too high or the forklift could unbalance.
Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is really dangerous to push the pallet ahead of you as the momentum can cause it to lose control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop abruptly. Gradually come to a stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
